# Cenata Attending the Future of Capitalism Awards at The Shard

Members of Cenata's executive & senior management team are delighted to be attending this years final of the Future of Capitalism Competition at The Shard on Tuesday, 3 February 2026.



The competition, run by Leo Lion, takes its name from economist Paul Collier's influential book "The Future of Capitalism". Collier himself will serve as judge as nine finalists from four continents pitch for significant investment in front of an audience of entrepreneurs.



The event represents the culmination of a global search for innovative startups, with 645 entries received from 84 countries. The winning businesses will secure direct investment to help bring their ideas to life.



The finalists represent a diverse range of innovations addressing global challenges. Octavia Carbon from Kenya is pioneering geothermal carbon removal technology, whilst Lambda, a UK-based AgriTech startup, has developed a scalable solution to increase food production by 20% using natural sunlight. Meanwhile, Singapore's Peris.ai is helping organisations stay secure and compliant with its AI-powered cybersecurity platform.



Leo Lion, founded and chaired by Larry Sullivan, believes businesses become a powerful force for prosperity when values take centre stage. Larry, who is also a founder at Cenata, has championed this approach throughout his career. The Future of Capitalism Competition embodies this philosophy, backing values-driven entrepreneurs whose innovations can deliver both economic prosperity and positive societal impact.



As part of the Leo Lion group, Cenata brings this values-driven approach to the insurance sector, developing technology that puts clients first.



The day promises to showcase exceptional entrepreneurial talent from across the globe, with winners to be announced the same evening.
